Martial Journey's Code of Conduct has been developed to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all parties involved. Martial Journey requires every individual bound by this policy to:
Treat everyone with respect, regardless of race, gender, and beliefs
Prioritise the safety and welfare of children
Show respect for our dojo, by keeping training areas, students lounge, toilets, and change rooms tidy
Be responsible for your own folder, uniform, drink bottles, and safety gear. Make sure items are not tripping hazards by using cubbies provided
NO damaging dojo equipment and furnishings
NO drugs, alcohol, and smoking allowed within dojo premises
Chewing gum and bubble gum are NOT permitted at our dojo
NO theft
NO use of inappropriate or disrespectful language
NO inappropriate content on any devices
Keep noise levels low while classes are in session
Respect personal boundaries
Be a good example for others, while in the dojo and out in the community
Comply with all relevant Australian Laws
"Do what is right even when no one is watching"
Reporting Breaches
If you:
Witness unsafe or inappropriate behaviour
Hear something worrying
Are concerned about a child's wellbeing and mental health
You MUST report it to a Martial Journey team member or email: team@martialjourney.com. All reports are taken seriously and will be handled with sensitivity and care.
Failure to adhere to Code of Conduct
Students (or families), who fail to adhere to our Code of Conduct, will be met with disciplinary action and possible suspension and/or termination of membership. If necessary, we will report to proper authorities.
